The NZBLAX squad have worked extremely hard through unprecedented times over the past year. Each athlete has been committed to ongoing improvement and that commitment showed on the field in the Challenger Series.
The programme now moves in to an unstructured phase where athletes will compete for their regions in the NZ Senior Nationals tournament at the end of March and then spend 3 months in a de-load and foundation building phase preparing themselves to hit the ground running for the final 12-month push to the World Championships.
Below is the NZBLAX updated training/competition calendar for the build-up to Women’s Lacrosse World Championships scheduled for end of June/early July 2022. This calendar addresses the tournament postponement, allowing for a period of de-loading prior to entering 3 phases of preparation for the World Championships.
