The NZWLA are pleased to announce the final team who have been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2019 FIL U19 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship.
“We couldn’t be more excited about this team and what they have accomplished so far on their journey to the World Championship. We have a fast, fit and fearless team who are consistently demanding more of themselves and each other. Over the last year and a half, they have grown not only as lacrosse players but as young women, and this has helped them unite as a team. They have been a privilege to coach throughout our journey and the coaches are very excited to share this adventure with them.” – Head Coach, Rosie Gunn.
Along with the 18 players, the team is also made up of Head Coach, Rosie Gunn, Head Assistant Coach Casey McLain, Assistant Coaches Victoria Lelo and Sarah Butler, Team Manager Greg New, Team Physio Elly Tobias.
From late July, the team will be travelling to California for warm up games before heading to Peterborough, Canada for the World Championship held 1-10 August 2019.
