The NZWLA and NZLA have been working together to come up with a merger proposal that would see the creation of a single governing body to oversee both the women and men’s lacrosse game.
Why do the men and women governing bodies need to merge?
World Lacrosse is working towards the inclusion of lacrosse as an Olympic sport at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
We see a need to change in order for New Zealand Lacrosse to continue to grow and compete on the world stage.
