Women’s World Cup 2013-Applications Invited
NZWLA invites applications for the following Team Staff positions for the New Zealand women’s team, 2013 World Cup campaign, to be held in Oshawa Canada:
New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse Team – Team Manager
The 2013 New Zealand Women’s Team is seeking a Team Manager.
The Team Manager will be work with the broader management team and report directly to the Head Coach.
This is voluntary position with travel and accommodation expenses to camps and events, covered by the program.
This position requires an individual who has:
- Proactive characteristics
- strong organisational skills
- sound IT and computer skills
- excellent time management ability
- ability to plan and provide for the needs of the squad
- passionate about supporting their National Team.
- enjoy working in a high performance team environment
- this position does not require knowledge of lacrosse
- preferably based in Auckland
The team manager will be responsible for:
- Communicating regularly with the training squad, mostly by email with some by phone
- Organising the smooth running of training camps under guidance of coaching team and with assistance of team captains
- Organising team flights for squad tours and World Cup
- Organising accommodation for camps, squad tours and World Cup
- Management of squad/team budget and finances
- Management of Team Bank account and EFT payments from Squad/team members
- Accompanying the team on squad tours and to the 2013 World Cup, 11th – 20th July, Canada.
- Able to attend training camps
- Collate and communication of team data.
- Liaise with NZWLA Board Members, 2013 World Cup Committee and FIL

New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse Team – Assistant Coaches (x2)
The 2013 New Zealand Women’s Team is seeking two Assistant Coaches.
The Assistant Coaches will be work with the broader management team and report directly to the Head Coach.
This is voluntary position with travel and accommodation expenses to camps and events, covered by the program.
This position requires an individual who is:
- proactive and positive attitude
- with strong communication and motivational skills
- able to take direction from the Head Coach
- enjoy working in a high performance team environment
- Preferably has a good knowledge of lacrosse, but strong coaching skills in basketball, handball, ice hockey will also be looked on favourably.
- based in within 1.5 hours of Auckland
The assistant coach will be responsible for:
- running mid week practice on a rota basis
- coaching at monthly training camps
- supporting the team manager in the smooth running of training camps
- studying key aspects of the game
- supporting the squad away from the field
- Game day coaching at 2013 World Cup, 11th – 20th July, Canada.
- Game day coaching on tours
- Assisting the Head Coach in Pre-game and post game team meetings

New Zealand Women’s Lacrosse Team – Sports Therapist
The 2013 New Zealand Women’s Team is seeking a Sports Therapist. (Physiotherapist, Osteopathic, Myotherapist)
The sports therapist will be work with the broader management team and report directly to the Head Coach.
This is voluntary position with travel and accommodation expenses to camps and events, covered by the program.
This position requires an individual who is:
- proactive and positive attitude
- enjoy working in a high performance team environment
- has experience in taping techniques
- has experience in sports massage
- a knowledge of strength and condition and core strength, for injury prevention
- based in Auckland
The Sports Therapist will be responsible for:
- supporting the Strength and Conditioning coach
- taping players at training camps
- providing pre and post training/game massage on field
- overseeing post game recovery
- supporting players between training camps
- Game day support at 2013 World Cup, 11th – 20th July, Canada
- Game day support on tours
